Broken Bow had more sales even with high mortgage rates
Mortgage rates climbed above 7% for the first time since January 2025, Realtor.com reported in September 2026. That is the one fact that shapes everything else right now. Buyers felt it. Sellers felt it. And yet, sales in Broken Bow went up sharply anyway.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 121 homes sold in ZIP 74728 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 80.6% from the same three months in 2025. Rates were high, and buyers still showed up. That tells sellers there were serious people in this market.
Pending sales back that story up
The Real Estate Data Aggregator also counted 121 pending sales in ZIP 74728 for the same period, up 31.5% from a year before. Pending sales are homes under contract but not yet closed. A rising pending number means the pipeline stayed full even with higher rates.
Prices moved up too
The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median sale price in ZIP 74728 at $660,000 for the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 19.3% from the same period in 2025. For context, the Federal Housing Finance Agency reported U.S. home prices rose just 2.4% over the same year. Broken Bow moved well above that national pace.
Homes sold a little closer to asking price
The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that homes in ZIP 74728 sold for an average of 96.9% of list price in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is down 1 point from 2025. Not a big shift, but it means buyers had a little more room to negotiate than they did a year ago. Nationally, Realtor.com reported that 20.8% of listings took a price cut in September 2026, the highest share since October 2022. Broken Bow sellers were still landing close to their asking prices by comparison.
Homes took a little less time to sell
The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median days on market at 104 days in ZIP 74728 for the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is 19 days shorter than the same period in 2025. Not every home sold fast, but the trend moved in a better direction. About 14.9% of homes went under contract within two weeks of listing, up 7.3 points from a year before.
What this means if you are a buyer
Rates above 7% are real, and they raise your monthly payment. Realtor.com reported rates climbed above 7% for the first time since January 2025. But the Broken Bow numbers show that buyers who were ready still found homes and closed. Preparation matters more than waiting for perfect conditions.
What this means if you are a seller
Supply fell. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 367 homes for sale in ZIP 74728, down 12.8% from 2025. Months of supply dropped 10 months to 9.3 months. Fewer competing listings and more sales is a combination worth paying attention to. Pricing close to market still mattered, since homes averaged 96.9% of list price.
